Fort Worth, TX (September 3, 2019) – For the second consecutive year, Bob Benda, CEO of Westwood Contractors, Inc., has been named among Fort Worth’s Top 400 most influential people by Fort Worth, Inc. magazine.

Through his civic involvement and business relationships, Bob has worked extensively to build a better, stronger community for all Fort Worth citizens and the our employees in particular.  He was a founding member of the Retail Contractors Association (RCA) and has held positions on the boards of several well-respected non-profit and community service organizations focused in education, healthcare, and industry trade associations. Today, Bob actively lends his expertise to the Mayor’s Kitchen Cabinet, Tarleton State University’s Construction Science and Management Program, and ACH Child and Family Services.  He encourages others to become involved as a way of gaining exposure, enhancing one’s personal and professional development, and experiencing a positive way of giving back to the community.  “Get engaged!  Fort Worth is blessed with a powerful heritage of civic involvement and meaningful volunteerism.  To fit in here, you need to carry your share of the workload to constantly improve our city,” said Bob Benda.

Bob shares this distinguished honor with notable influencers including Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price, Johnny Campbell, CEO of Sundance Square, and Jerry Jones, Owner of the Dallas Cowboys.  Equally impressive are those on the list who are close associates and business partners with Westwood such as Whit Smith, Founder of Whitney Smith Company, Westwood’s human resources consulting firm, and Michael Bennett, a member of Westwood’s Advisory Board and CEO of Bennett Benner Partners, one of the most sought-after architectural firms in the Fort Worth.  By developing and nurturing strong relationships with prominent companies and thought leaders, Bob gains valuable insight and shares ideas regarding business trends, the local economy, government policies, and other factors that shape the community and impact businesses.  His engagement in these activities exemplifies good stewardship, a cornerstone of Westwood’s core values.  Bob’s philosophy is simple:  “My goal is to leave things better than I found them and to create value through creative approaches to developing economic opportunities,” he said.

His efforts help position Westwood to stay well ahead of the curve and remain highly competitive.  Thank you, Bob, for inspiring us all to excel!

Please join me in congratulating Bob on receiving this distinctive honor!
