Club Monaco: A refreshing relocation/remodel!
The Galleria Dallas has a reputation for providing an unequaled shopping environment that includes a unique collection of boutiques, restaurants, and experiences. Founded in Toronto in 1985, Club Monaco is an international lifestyle brand that offers affordable luxury with a modern sensibility. Club Monaco appeals to the creative consumer—a group of cultural influencers who mix fashion must-haves with timeless classics. The brand represents a distinctly urban-casual point of view, best defined as a sophisticated play of opposites: mixing vintage with new, hard with soft and eclectic with minimal.
When Club Monaco chose to relocate to a new storefront within the Galleria, Westwood was selected to provide general contracting services for the six-week project. The scope of work included the complete interior renovation of an existing 2,097 SF retail tenant space. The demolition phase included non-structural demolition of interior finishes and fixtures of the existing store as well as removal of abandoned electrical, plumbing and mechanical distribution systems. The construction phase included building new partitions, and installation of new equipment and finishes. Trades included new HVAC, electrical, and sprinkler. The project required significant millwork, carpentry, fixture installation, decorative doors frames & hardware; storefront glass, drywall / framing / acoustical, ceramic / stone flooring, wood flooring, stone counters, painting & wall coverings. Detailed marble work was required for the logo inlay at store’s front entry. With a high level of attention to detail and quality, our work helped ensure the refreshed interior reflects Club Monaco’s standards and its new retail concept which showcases an “urban casual” aesthetic. The grand re-opening of the store’s new location was held in September of 2013.
