Update on Westwood's response to COVID-19 as of March 26, 2020

AN UPDATE TO OUR VALUED BUSINESS PARTNERS REGARDING WESTWOOD’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19

To all,

We hope this communication finds you, your team and family members safe and well!  To date, the Westwood Team has been fortunate to avoid any direct impact to it members and their families.

We wanted to share with you that the majority of governmental directives issued across the country specifically exempt construction as an industry from ‘shelter in place’ or other orders restricting normal business operations.  We continue to work diligently to assist our clients achieve their project objectives for timely and cost effective completion wherever that is possible.  We are monitoring events daily on a State-by-State and community-by-community basis and complying with all recommended safety practices from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) for the safe operation of essential enterprises.  These precautions include increased hygiene efforts, social distancing of workers and enforcing the prohibition of potentially infected individuals from the workplace. Where local or State actions have precluded continued operations, we have developed a protocol for safely shutting down and preserving securely all work in place until such time as we are allowed to resume work.  We are making every effort to achieve this shut down process as quickly and cost effectively as possible including minimizing any ongoing costs for the duration of any delay and remobilization.  Rest assured, we will continue to make every effort to ensure your projects are delivered on time and within budget and keep you informed of any challenges to that process.  Please feel free to reach out to your Westwood contact with any questions or special needs you may encounter as a result of this matter.

We are in this together!

Sincerely,

Robert Benda
