An often-overlooked role of a general contractor is its relationship with subcontractors. At Westwood, our subcontractors are our vendor/partners and we strive to treat each subcontractor with respect, honesty, openness and fairness. The stronger the relationship between Westwood and our subcontractors, the better equipped we are to deliver superior projects and to go above and beyond our clients' expectations.
As part of our state-of-the-art processes, Westwood uses iSqFt for bid process efficiency and automation. iSqFt allows us to plug in data associated with our projects, such as client name, project size, location, start and end dates, Project Manager and Supervisor, plans and specs, and CSI codes by trade needs, and then actively seek out and share the data with the most qualified and interested subcontractors available. As much as possible, we try to use our own proprietary subcontractor base, which consists of 20,000 subs nationwide, plus we can also tap into, as needed, the iSqFt sub base for a more full, robust bid coverage. iSqFt allows Westwood the ability to have quicker, more impactful direct communication with our valued subcontractor base.
