WESTWOOD :: 26 YEARS AND COUNTING
Westwood was chartered on May 23, 1983 initially as a local General Contractor based in Fort Worth, TX.
When Robert D. Benda (current chairman and CEO) took over the helm a few years later, he brought with him years of national retailer experience, insight and contacts. He knew that retailers had the need for consistency in the store design, appearance, and construction quality no matter where in the US they planned to build stores. Over the years, Westwood obtained the credentials and authorization needed to build in any state in the United States (with the exception of Hawaii) thereby expanding our ability to gain key national retail clients. Subsequently, we have continued to grow and excel in this multi-store model of business and now, 26-plus years into it, we reflect on the past but look toward the future.
