Kohler Co. is a global leader in the design and manufacture of kitchen and bath products.
Kohler wanted to expand its presence in the west coast with the opening of a new Signature Store at Spectrum Crossroads in Irvine, Ca. Owned and operated by Hajoca, a leader in luxury plumbing, the store promises to be a premiere design and product destination for customers in Orange County. This is Kohler’s sixth store completed with Hajoca in the U.S. and Canada since their partnership began in 2016. This was our first of many projects for Kohler.
We renovated an existing retail space to accommodate the new 4,108 SF Kohler Signature Store. Our work involved demolition and tenant improvements which included construction of non-load bearing partitions, new owner provided fixture displays, exterior refresh, and full interior finish-out. The completed retail showroom features 12 distinct sales areas, a kitchenette, a shared office space for four people, a conference room, two toilet rooms, and janitor’s closet. What makes this project stand out from a typical retail store finish-out is the significant amount of plumbing and electrical work, including controls systems, required in the immersive showroom for operation of working displays including digital shower systems, vanities, faucets, sinks, lighted mirrors, and intelligent toilets. The showroom also features multiple stylized vignettes each with distinctive wall and floor tile serving as the product backdrop; a variety of millwork & cabinetry styles; stained & polished concrete in selected areas; and carpet tile in the office and conference room. The 15-week project was completed in late December 2019.
Since then we have also completed several Kohler retail showroom projects including new store finish-outs and refresh/remodels working directly with both Kohler Co. and authorized dealers such as Plimpton & Hills and Grof USA.
