Valvoline

Founded in 1986, Valvoline Instant Oil Change has become a leading choice for drive thru oil changes and automotive maintenance services.  Today, Valvoline is the second largest quick lube business in America.

Valvoline's strategy includes accelerating growth of its quick-lube model.  Through 2019 and the next several years, the Company plans to add 50 to 85 stores, including corporate-owned and franchise locations, per year.  And with lots of activity planned for Texas and other states, we are well suited to serving their efforts in Texas, our home state, and beyond.

The Fulshear project, our first for Valvoline, involved ground-up construction of a 4,164 GSF instant oil change facility on a 0.97-acre greenfield site located 40 miles west of Houston.  The building is wood frame construction with stone wainscot and stucco exterior finishes, a hollow core floor between levels, asphalt shingle roof, metal awnings, and a prominent tower for increased visibility and brand recognition. The ground-level consists of two small customer waiting areas, a unisex restroom, office, utility room, mechanical room, stairs to the service pit, three pass-through service bays, a storage area, and drum transfer station. The site has parking for 17 vehicles.  The below-ground lube pit has various receptacles/tanks for storage of new and waste vehicle liquids (grease, oil, antifreeze, etc.), an employee changing room, and an employee break room.

The Fulshear location was completed in July 2019.  Since then, we have completed similar projects in Round Rock and Richmond, TX.
