President & Chief Operating Officer
Mike joined Westwood in 1994 as director of construction and has served as president and chief operating officer for several years, balancing daily operations with ensuring client satisfaction. His in-the-trenches experience spans more than 35 years, from drywall foreman to construction manager, from medical facilities to notable retailers. Mike has mastered the intricacies of site development and construction for freestanding development and interior finish-out projects – from both the client’s and the general contractor’s perspective.
Today, he directs all aspects of Westwood’s organizational team, including preconstruction/estimating, project management, field staff, vendor and client relations, budgeting and business development. Mike is actively involved in the Retail Contractors Association for which he served on the Board of Directors until 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in management and marketing from Texas Lutheran College.
